ALBANY, all about ME

 Dear Friend,

    How are you?  I haven’t had a chance to see or to talk to you for a very long time
and I hope that you are doing just fine no matter where in the world you are. 
My life has been occupied by work and work and work for the time being.
Sorry for not taking time to update and I do hope that I still hold some spaces in the corners of your mind. 

    Last weekend, I went to a movie.
This is no big deal to watch a movie on the weekend. But I found a very extraordinary scene outside the theatre. 
Guess what? There are people lining there for a movie.  You can see from the photo below that no end can be seen and the length of the line is still increasing.  With so many people lining, the cinema even has to spray water from above to prevent the corridor from getting overheated.

This situation only occurred once in my 20 years experience (ok, correction, 20 plus some years) of movie watching that was for “Titanic” about 10 years ago. And this movie is the second one.  So, what are they lining for?

This one---Cape No. 7.

It starts with 7 unsent love letters 60 years ago. After 6 decades, the address does not exist any more and the reciever is no where to find.

Followed by the homecoming story of an anguish band singer, Aga.  And Aga's new band in Kenting with the locals, which includes a rebellious teenage girl keyboard player, a 80 years old bass player who never plays bass before and an amateur drumm player...to name a few

. 

The movie is really funny and yet you find your eyes wet since some of the plots are really touching. 

It captures the amazingly beatiful scenery of the southern Taiwan as well as the characters of the people there.  If you want to know a bit more about Taiwan, this movie is a must!!
